| Egosoft approached our studio late in the production cycle of X3. They needed high-quality assets that would expand the visual quality of their franchise and push the envelope. With this mandate Streamline began a hard development push in which it recreated several pieces of content while simultaneously undertaking a large number of newly commissioned assets. The production encompassed several complex 1024 normal map materials for space stations and spaceships including normals created from 3D source to provide authenticity and additional detail. Our internal render farm and previous experience with next-gen engines was essential for the quick turnaround time on all required materials.
