| When Volition Studios needed a service solution for their ambitious Xbox 360 title they turned to Streamline Studios. Introduced onto the scene during mid-development Streamline was able to synchronize our production process to not only provide Volition with seamless asset production but also feedback and bug tracking of their newly developed shader technology. With a bulk of graphical content produced onsite at the studio our next-generation pipeline was born. Utilizing specific development tool plug-ins for 3ds Max the objective was to create complex-looking materials out of composite layers including base diffuse dirt and grain graffiti and shade layers As Volition’s engine was fully streaming and optimized for full fledged real-time lighting several additional technical details and construction methods had to be taken into consideration and processed by the art leads and QA personnel.
