Streamline Studios is a leading digital content creator and developer of video games. In the Production Department we are responsible for leading and supporting projects. We play a big part in the design process of new products, for which we are driving product vision forward. Along with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments we ensure that quality of the games we develop, and the production standards of the content created, are met, in order to get entertainment products onto the market on time and within budget. We are responsible for the wellbeing of the studios’ production teams and are actively growing team members into leaders. We are constantly cultivating relationships within the development community to expand the studios’ competencies.
Your role:
As Project Manager you will work in close collaboration with the Producer, Associate Producer, Designers, and members of the QA/QC Department. You will be responsible for your team’s success by assisting to build a well-organized creative work and team environment. You will be planning and organizing projects, sharing knowledge and information, and work with the rest of the management team to plan out future projects and career paths for individual members on your team.
Everyone in the Production Department reports directly to the Producer, responsible for keeping the vision of game products as a whole.
To succeed in this role you need to be a great team player and team leader, have great organizational skills, and a passion for creative environments. You need to be a good communicator, with well-developed social and people management skills. The ability to lead your team to success and contribute to their personal and professional growth within the studio is most essential to successfully fulfil your role.
Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and scheduling project plans
- Planning and assigning production tasks in coordination with the Art Director
- Monitoring the production process
- Maintaining documents and production plans
- Participating in team meetings
- Briefing team members, and providing project updates to the producer, the team and the rest of the company
- Responsible for the team’s physical and mental well being
- Working well with others from the art department and other departments
- Able to work in a neat and organized fashion
- Continuously learning and improving
- Working together with HR department in order to facilitate career management of individual team members
Requirements:
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Ability to track production time and milestones
- Creative and responsible, ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to define concise goals
- Sociable and good with people, good people management skills
- Ability to lead, and motivate teams
- Must be willing to learn, expand, and grow into higher roles
Pluses:
- Able to work with Microsoft Project
- Ability to work with Microsoft Visio
- Foundation in programming, HR or Art is a bonus
- Willing to grow into Producer Role
